Definition
Thermal resistance measures a material’s ability to resist the flow of heat. It is the thickness of the material divided by its thermal conductivity and is expressed in square meters Kelvin per watt (m²·K/W).
Description
Higher R-values indicate better insulation and slower heat transfer. It shows how effectively a material or assembly reduces heat flow.
